SOHAR Port is a deep-sea port centrally located and in close proximity of the main shipping routes connecting the Gulf and the Indian subcontinent with the rest of the world. Thereby, it is an ideal location for a stop-over to obtain all required services for your vessel sailing in the region. On a yearly base, Port of Sohar receives more than 3000 vessel calls.

Services offering
SOHAR Port offers a wide variety of services such as
layup, bunkering, Ship to Ship transfers, repairs and hull
cleaning, underwater surveys and inspections, crew
changes, hold cleaning, Marpol waste discharge, change
of ownership, ship chandlery, and floating storage.
The anchorage area’s
Our anchorage areas have a depth of between 30 to 60
meters and are located within a range of 4-10 nautical
miles offshore, making them suitable for all vessel sizes.
SOHAR Port has favorable sea and meteo conditions
throughout the whole year, making it the perfect spot for
services requiring a mild sea state like STS.
Layby
SOHAR Port offers also layby possibilities at berth 25 for
ships between 160 and 220 meters LOA. The jetty deck is
accessible by trucks or mobile cranes / cherry pickers. For
hot works prior approval from port is to be obtained.
Crew change and logistics
With Muscat and Dubai as main hubs within 2-3 hours
driving distance any crew change or deliveries can be
executed efficiently. Sohar Airport also offers flights to
some of the main airports in the region.
New duty-free shop and seafarers club
A brand new duty-free shop and seafarers club is available
on shore for your crews from June 2022 onwards to have
a good time ashore or buy the necessary items.
