Suhar, Aug 2023 – In a step towards enabling sustainable growth for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and fostering entrepreneurship, SOHAR Port and Freezone announces the signing of three agreements. The agreements were inked with maritime companies, Al Risia Subsea Engineering & Services L.L.C., Gulf Global Land & Sea Services L.L.C., and National Marine Services L.L.C., to provide marine services to ships calling the port.
Commenting on this signing, Captain Batti Al Shibli, Harbor Master of SOHAR Port and Freezone said "Our vision is to create an inclusive maritime ecosystem that empowers local businesses. These agreements represent a crucial milestone in SOHAR journey towards becoming a regional hub for maritime services. The services offered by these companies include Hull Cleaning, Underwater Surveys, In-Water Repairs, Anchor Recovery, and Propeller Polishing.
The collaboration opens new opportunities for SMEs to provide high-quality services to ships while assuring the commitment of SOHAR Port and Freezone to nurturing a thriving maritime industry and supporting national objectives.
