SOHAR Port to Present Next Steps on Marine Service Growth to Shipping Agents

SOHAR Port recently held its Annual Shipping Agents Meeting to provide progress updates to more than 40 regional and international partners and discuss innovative ways to attract business to the Port. During the meeting, the Port also conducted a signing ceremony for Ship Chandling licenses with three new partners: Seven Seas Ship Chandlers LLC, Al Diyafah Supplies & Services Co. LLC, and Mars Marine Services. The three companies will provide general ship supplies, spare parts to the shipping lines.

As part of its efforts to develop a full-service ecosystem and make top-class marine services available to its clients, SOHAR partners with a number of local SMEs and international companies. Among these, it has joined hands with Hormuz Marine to introduce bunkering services and Credential Ship Services LLC asfor crew change and supplies at sea. In addition, berth 25 has been made available again for Layby and service operations such as hold cleaning and repairs.  Next month, the new marine waste collection service provider, Oman Maritime Waste Treatment, will also begin its first soft trials at the Port.
