Matrix Prime Logistics (FZC) LLC, a
warehousing and logistics service provider established at SOHAR Freezone,
signed an agreement with Aramex Logistics LLC ; a global leader in providing
transportation and logistics solutions, according to which Aramex will act as
the tenant’s service provider and handle relevant logistics operations. The
signing ceremony took place on 2nd December under the patronage of
HE Asila bint Salim bin
Sulaiman Al Samsamiyah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and
Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion at the Diplomatic Club. Signed the agreement Mr. Raed
Noures, General Manager of Aramex Logistics LLC –Oman and Mr. Dawood bin
Sulaiman Al Rajhi, Chairman of Matrix Prime Logistics (FZC) LLC, in the presence
of Chairman of the Board of SOHAR Port and Freezone and representatives from
the senior management of the companies mentioned above.
Aramex will bring their state-of- the-art
system dedicated employees to perform the respective services to benefit the
end-customers, handle logistics in-accordance with the international logistics
standards, provide logistics data management services for the SAP System and
will operate Optilog services or the INFOR Warehouse Management System. This in
addition to an array of logistics services, including item quality inspection,
managing stock, carrying out inventory cycle counts and more.
Additionally, Matrix Prime Logistics (FZC)
LLC, with its advanced technology and logistics knowledge, will be able to
provide Pallet-In / Pallet -Out warehousing and storage services for the first
time at SOHAR Freezone, which will contribute to activate the import/export or
re-export of the warehousing movement. This facility will be offered for a variety
of products, including dry and semi-dry commodities, as well as it will enable
investors, exporters and factories to store their goods for different period of
time in line with their requirements.”
Dawood Al Rajhi stated, “Our new service,
which is available at most Free Zones at regional and international level, is
highly sought after by cargo companies and manufacturers, due to the ability to
store pallets on short, medium or long-term basis, without the need for storage
lease contracts. This way, we can enhance our offering and also contribute
towards the efforts of SOHAR Freezone to attract businesses that are looking
for high-quality warehousing and logistics solutions.”
