Muscat, June 13, 2018| The final match between Orpic C and Orpic B took place on June 12, at the Al Arabi Sports and Cultural Stadium. After a fierce match between the two teams, Orpic C emerged victorious and were crowned the champions of SOHAR Cup 2018.

Facing harsh competition over the previous weeks, both teams had notable performances before their final face-off. Orpic C defeated Orpic B, who were the winners of last year’s tournament, with a score of 2-1.
The first annual tournament, which took place in 2007, was initiated to celebrate the principles of teamwork and health during the Holy Month of Ramadan. With over 60 matches taking place over the course of the tournament, and 32 teams represented by tenants, contractors and subcontractors of SOHAR Port and Freezone, the tournament is combination of stamina and endurance, teamwork and level of skill. A total of 400 people participated in the tournament, including players, referees, coaches, and administrators.
Subsequently, after the official trophy presentation, awards were handed over to a number of exceptional players. This included the awards for the best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper of the tournament.
