• SOHAR Golf Together Day allows local businesses to network
• Over 50 participants took part on the Ghala Golf Club course
• Focus is more on business networking than serious golfing skills
Over 50 staff and guests from SOHAR Port and Freezone hit the golf course in Muscat last weekend, as part of the SOHAR Golf Together 2015 event.
The Golf Together day, now in its second year, took place at Ghala Golf Club. The event is a networking opportunity for staff, senior managers of Port and Freezone tenant companies, shipping lines and their agents, and other local businesses.
Senior managers from SOHAR Port and Freezone were there, along with a few selected journalists, to discuss business developments in 2015 and look forward to the business year ahead. Golf novices were given professional coaching whilst the aficionados amongst the group got into the swing of things with a team tournament.
Andre Toet, CEO of SOHAR Port, said: “Last year’s Golf Together Day was a huge success, which is why we’ve decided to turn this into an annual event.
